(le COQ hotel in paris)
When you look through Airbnb what is the first thing you look at when choosing the right accommodation? I don’t know you about you, but for us, the first thing we look at are the photos, then maybe the price and then the cleanliness. We can’t stress enough how important photos are! We definitely judge a book by its cover.
We created a before and after look for an Airbnb room we believe could do with a bit of styling.
This studio is in a prime location in London, which is perfect for a small family or even a girls city break. If you ask us, we most likely wouldn’t stay here because… well… we’re interior freaks. But really isn’t everyone deep down? Maybe not… but I would say majority are looking at the photos first!
So what jumps out to us right away? Hopefully you thought it too… THE RED CURTAIN. So this wouldn’t be our number one go-to in terms of colour, but keeping it simple can also do the job quite nicely.
Ready to see the after?
Yes, its “same same” but VERY different! To be honest, we didn’t change too much. Can you see how some fresh white paint and a deep space blue wall (by little greene) can really do the trick?
This playful geometric rug by Wayfair easily helps soften up the space by making it less sterile and cold. The wall lights also help give the space a boutique hotel feel and they’re super easy to install! No need to hire an electrician. These lights from Heals are plug in, so all you need to do is hang it on the wall.
Who knew you could get that boutique look for under 1k?
For just £702.40 you can create a beautiful space that’s eye catching and will for sure give you more clients!
Keep it simple and go for white, but also choose one that is good quality! Trust me, your guests will feel the difference! At least I know we do! We suggest the luxe collection by Bedfolk. Bedfolk offers quality sheets at an affordable price. You definitely get that boutique hotel feel in these bad boys!
Giving something personal even if its small always makes a huge impact on guests!
A welcome basket decorated with fresh fruits or snacks upon arrival for your guests is also another gift we’d recommend. But if you’re feeling a little bit more generous: A bottle of wine is always a nice gesture, especially if you’re expecting a couple or a small family.
Something local is always a good one! Honey, jam, sweets, etc.
Do they have a child coming? Ask for the age and leave a children’s book for them.
Also having an option of coffee or tea, and leaving milk in the fridge is great.
Include your go-to restaurants! But if you love burgers. don’t only include this information! Remember the other fun individuals!
Definitely include the best vegan and vegetarian place close by… Because you know… We millennials are vegan at least twice a year.
There needs to be a variety of cuisine and price ranges. Closest groceries, tube stops, shopping district, etc.
